The plant was buying maintenance spares, PPE and consumables through dozens of small purchase orders. Deliveries arrived piecemeal, paperwork was incomplete and critical spares were often out of stock.

- Reviewed the spares list and agreed specifications and approved manufacturers
- Consolidated purchasing into one programme with agreed lead times
- Inspected every delivery against the PO and certificates before release
- Delivered weekly to the plant warehouse with one combined document set
